In an interview before the game with ESPN he stated how much he missed Arsenal and his best friend there Cesc Fabregas. Through out the whole interview the main emphasis was about Arsenal and howthey used to be. He was also asked whether it was the wrong choice to join Spanish giants Barcelona in which he replied ‘I don’t know.’ At the end of the interview he then said ‘guys, you better put up the Arsenal shirt.’ That very comment showed how much he probably hated being at Birmingham.
The Birmingham manager then said after the interview how much Hleb has to focus not and anything else apart from Birmingham. Since Hleb arrived from Barcelona he has struggled with fitness and form. The manager has stated that he wants to see more from Hleb as he has the expirience of a mentally strong player.
