Van der Vaart full of confidence after Rovers win

Van Der Vaart has excelled in his role-playing behind Emmanuel Adebayor this season, and has scored in his last four league appearances, including the opening goal against North London rivals Arsenal and a brace against Blackburn on Sunday that helped move Spurs up to 5th in the league table.
The 2-1 win over Steve Kean’s side mean Harry Redknapp’s side have picked up five wins and one draw in their last six games, and the Dutchman believes both he and his tram-mates have hit their stride after a slow start.
“Last week we drew at Newcastle, everyone was disappointed and that means everything, it says a lot about the team,” he told Tottenham’s official website.
“We’re so confident at the moment, we know we can win every game, especially when we play our game and play good football.
“It was important to win at Blackburn. I don’t think we played our best game but we won and that’s what matters. We have five wins and a draw [in the last six matches] and as I said, we have a lot of confidence.
“It’s always tough at Blackburn but we managed to win and we’re up to fifth, so that’s great.” He added.
Van Der Vaart has found his place in the spurs starting line up under threat this campaign as he and Jermain Defoe battled it out for a place alongside Adebayor, but now the former Real Madrid man has seen off the threat of the England forward and believes he is back to “100%” match fitness after over-coming a groin injury, and added he is “getting better and better” with each match he plays.
