Roberto Soldado scored a first-half hat-trick as Valencia thumped Genk 7-0 to keep themselves firmly in the race for a UEFA Champions League last 16 spot.

Group E will now go down to the wire for Valencia and Chelsea, after the Blues were beaten 2-1 by Bayer Leverkusen – which put the German side on top.
