Javan Vidal has joined League Two leaders Chesterfield until the 26th February, and Ryan McGivern has been recalled from his spell at Walsall, with the intention of loaning him out again to another club. He is just the latest player to come back, quickly following David Ball and John Guidetti back to the City of Manchester Stadium.
Vidal played the full 90 minutes as Shrewsbury held The Spirites to a 0-0 draw. He was cautioned on 31 minutes for unsporting behavior .
Onto match action now and Craig Bellamy opened the scoring on 14 minutes in Cardiff’s 4-2 win over Watford. Craig fired in his 6th goal of the season from the edge of the box to set the Bluebirds on their way. Cardiff remain 2nd in the Championship.
Elsewhere in the Championship, Abdisalam Ibrahim was in Scunthorpe starting XI against Burnley, he played the full 90 minutes in the 0-0 draw. Kieran Trippier played the full 90 for Barnsley in the 1-1 draw against Swansea. Ben Mee completed a quartet of 90 minutes as he help end Millwall’s 9 game unbeaten run as Leicester City won 4-2.
Now onto the Premier League as Roque Santa Cruz played a full 90 minutes for Blackburn in their 2-0 win over West Bromich Albion. He had 2 chances to score, but was thwarted by Myhill on 42 minutes, and shot wide of goal in 2nd half injury time. He has yet to score since his return.
Nedum Onuoha was once again in the Sunderland starting line up as the black cats ran out 2-1 winners atBlackpool.However he did foul David Vaughan to concede a penalty on 85 minutes.
After his calamitous debut last week Wayne Bridge kept his place in the West Ham defence as a late Everton goal denied the hammers victory. It ended 2-2.
Moving north now and Vladimir Weiss’ Rangers were away at Hearts. After his brace in the last game, he fund himself on the bench in this top of the table clash. He was introduced on 80 minutes when Rangers were 1-0 down, he had a chance to level on 86 minutes but shot over the bar.
Before this weeks fixtures Felipe Caicedo had the highest shots-to-goals ratio in La Liga at 41%. He couldn’t improve his percentage as with Levante already 4-1 at Seville, he was substituted on 76 minutes.
