The Inter rumours round up
Posted on August 4th, 2011 | by Andy Wedge in Community Shield,England,Inter Milan,Italy, rumours, transfersVarious rumours circulating in the media in both Italy and England today concerning City, Inter, Tevez, Adebayor, Eto’o and Maicon.
Argentine super agent Jose Alberti has insists that Italian giants Inter Milan will offload star playmaker Wesley Sneijder to Manchester Ucheated, and with the use of funds generated from that deal to allow them into purchasing Tevez. “Am I sure? Of course, I have said this for months,” Alberti affirmed to IlSussidiario.net, “Sneijder will go to United and Inter Milan will reinvest the money in the transfer for Tevez. El Apache will arrive in Milan on loan for the following terms – €15 million immediately, and the same number at the end of next season Inter will take home a successful and experienced champion.”
According to the Daily Mirror, Inter Milan are ready to offer their Brazilian attacking right-back Maicon in part-exchange for Calos Tevez.
Maicon, who has been Brazil’s first-choice right-back for a number of years despite the presence of Barcelona’s brilliant Daniel Alves, has only one year remaining on his current contract with Inter, and the Italian giants are thought to be considering cashing on the player, who is now 30 years old.
However, any straight swap deal involving Tevez would interest the Italian’s, with no actual cash changing hands, but with City setting Tevez’s value at £40 million, and Maicon valued at around £15 million, there’s a £25 million shortfall.
Meanwhile it is also being reported that City are preparing to offer striker Emmanuel Adebayor plus £10 million for Samuel Eto’o. According to Tuttosport, Eto’o has informed club president Massimo Moratti and sports director Marco Branca that he wants out of the Nerazzurri, after the bust-up in yesterday’s training session with coach Gian Piero Gasperini.
Make of all this rumour talk what you will. One thing’s for sure though – the Tevez to Inter rumour just won’t go away; especially as he is absent from the Community Shield squad. Either Eto’o or Maicon would be a welcome addition to Roberto Mancini’s squad and it’s essential that Adebayor is shipped out to vastly reduce the increasing Etihad wage bill.
