Take a punt on Arsenal
Posted on January 28th, 2011 | by Stringfellow Hawke in Arsenal,Arsenal News,Barcelona,Bbc,gamblingSo Arsenal find themselves still competing on all four fronts, with the final of the Carling Cup up first at the end of February.
Sports Betting is an ever growing market place with every major sporting event fully covered.
I know of one chap who resides in North London (no links to the club) who made over £200,000 in 2010 from punting on Football alone. Of course, he would not call it punting or gambling..as he would say “he takes a bet when he can see value in the price”
Arsenal are best priced 30/100 to win the Carling Cup and in a 2 horse race, you could never consider that any real value.
However, in another two horse race, namely the Premiership, Arsenal find themselves priced at almost 3/1…. now that is true value. Manure are hot favourites according to the Bookies and are priced up accordingly at a tiny odds-on price of 8/11.
5/1 for Arsenal to be FA Cup Winners is again poor value at this stage, with so many of the big sides still left in.
Mark Lawro Lawrenson does a weekly game prediction stint over on the BBC website, and has landed some pretty decent priced correct score results this season. This is pure gambling though.
The final 2 horse race that involves Arsenal is perhaps representative of the greatest value. Arsenal can be backed at over 20/1 to win the Champions League this season, but can be backed at 3/1 to win the Home leg of the Barcelona game. Can you recall the last time Arsenal lost a home match in the Champions League?
No neither can I.
