Defoe? Really?

Our massive strength is our attacking midfield which requires a big guy up front who has good movement and can hold up the ball to bring them into play. Now our whole game is going to be slinging balls through to Defoe who will be snatching at everything

Anders Lindegaard confident that David de Gea will come good

Anders Lindegaard reckons David de Gea will fulfill his potential and become Manchester United’s first-choice goalkeeper, but made it clear that his team-mate may need to wait patiently for another opportunity. David de Gea, aged 21-years-old, signed for United from Athletico Madrid last summer in a deal estimated to have been worth £18million but has…

Remy, Huntelaar, Llorente, Sow…Make A Move Daniel

If we had bid £22m for Loic Remy at the start of the window before he’d scored two goals and destroyed Lille, I believe he would be a Spurs player now. Huntelaar has scored 27 goals in 28 games which is a fantastic strike rate even for the Bundesliga. He is no spring chicken but that is reflected in his rumoured £17m price tag. Llorente is a top player who can apparently be bought for around £20/£25m.

PICTURE: Rio’s new boots for Arsenal game

Rio Ferdinand will wear new boots for the game against Arsenal this weekend after commiting to Nike’s “Make It Count” campaign, pledging to make 2012 the year in which they give everything in pursuit of perfection. Wojciech Szczesny and Theo Walcott will also wear the boots that have “#makeitcount” embroidered on them. The active tweeters…

Ferdinand set to be fit for clash with Arsenal

Former Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand has moved quickly to rubbish reports that suggest he will miss out on ‘Super Sunday’ clash with Arsenal due to a concussion injury he picked up during the win over Bolton. The composed centre-back has struggled with a number of back injuries in recent years and has lost a few…

Dimitar Berbatov: The Not-So-Poor Man’s Cantona

By Nick Kituno. Eric Cantona is undoubtedly one of Manchester United’s most revered greats in recent memory. A man whose name is often entangled within sentences such as “1990s”, “Champions League” and “King”. To some he is a hero, and to…

Irwin: You can’t buy experience

Former Manchester United and Republic of Ireland defender Denis Irwin is hopeful that the Reds’ experience will play a key part this season in winning them the Barclays Premier League title for a record 20th time. Irwin, who currently works with MUTV, thinks City have been the best side this season despite believing Ferguson’s men…

Levy Must Break Habit Of A Lifetime To Land Remy

The latest big name we are being linked with is Loic Remy. He is the most important player at his club, Marseille, who have qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League and have designs on finishing high enough to qualify next season also. Achieving that and staying in this season’s competition as long as possible will be very lucrative, so how does it make financial sense to sell their best player at this time?

The £60 Million Question For Redknapp

I am now of the opinion that keeping Harry Redknapp at the club is absolutely crucial for our continued growth, in the short term at least. So is £60 million the answer? It’s a lot of money, but I am virtually resigned to losing Redknapp in the summer.

Thoughts on Gary Cahill

After what feels like months of speculation, it looks like the Cahill deal is nearly done. He is said to be completing a medical in London today and will then be announced by the club. As this has all now … Continue reading →

CELEBRITY SPURS FANS – Charles Bronson Is A Yiddo!

Every now and again though, I hear or read that one of those ghastly people has the one redeeming feature that in those impressionable years as a wee child they made the right choice and started supporting Tottenham Hotspur. Celebrity Spurs fans.

Tevez To Spurs? Don’t Be Daft..But..

Breaking the bank with a huge signing on fee to supplement more reasonable wages for a player of Tezez’s calibre would make Spurs an incredibly tempting bet for the title.

Spurs’ REAL Main Man?

Brad Friedel is not in any top ten in the world list, but he is a proper keeper with bundles of experience and has been absolutely vital to us this season.

Give It A Rest, Harry

It’s not all managers in the transfer window, it really is just Harry. I’ve looked around most of the news feeds for other teams and there is no constant stream of contradictory quotes about signings.

Paul Scholes, the return of a legend

When The Sun ran a story in the lead up to the FA Cup 3rd round Manchester derby that Paul Scholes had sensationally answered a plea from United to come out of retirement and put on the Manchester United shirt again, the vast majority of us laughed it off dismissing it as a ridiculous non-story…

Form is Temporary. Class is Permanent. Thierry Henry Returns In Style

It was in a word – surreal. As if Thierry Henry and Arsene Wenger conspired to contrive the whole thing. They would set to have the team pass around Leeds all day with little chances here and there that would frustrate the faithful who would then clamo…

Club issue a statement on Rooney’s future

Manchester United acted surprisingly quick to rubbish reports that will be made in Saturday’s Independent that the club were set to allow Wayne Rooney leave after undergoing an argument with Sir Alex Ferguson. Without any over-exaggeration, the club issued the official statement less than a half-an-hour after The Independent front-page went public on Twitter. Another…

Long Live King Henry II – Thierry Henry Returns to Arsenal: Confirmed

Expect A Very Real Title Challenge From Spurs

Since Tottenham’s third game their form has been superior to every other team. Spurs have bar none the best midfield in the country. You would have to look to Spain to find one better, and then not in every position. It contains two world class players of such ability that they would get in any squad in the world.
