International Villains..

Posted on February 9th, 2011 | by Stuart in Aston Villa,England,Ireland,Scotland,Wales

There was several Aston Villa players involved in International duty this week with almost all of them coming away with that winning feeling..

England managed a 2-1 victory in there friendly match over Denmark in Copenhagen which sore both English goals scored by Villa players. Darren Bent started the game and it took him just 8 minutes to get on the score sheet and he could of so easily come away from the game with more than 1.

Ashley Young was introduced in the second half and scored the winner with some fantastic link up play with Darren Bent. Stewart Downing was the third player to feature but there was no debut for on loan defender Kyle Walker but no doubt the experience would of done him the world of good.

Barry Bannan featured in Scotlands 3-0 win over Northern Ireland in the Carling Nations Cup.

While last night Ciaran Clark and Richard Dunne played for the Republic of Ireland as they beat a Wales side captained by our very own James Collins 3-0.

With all players being involved in victories (apart from Collins), lets hope they can take there confidence into this weekends game at Blackpool.
