Here It Is. Let’s Not Bottle It Again. Please!?
Posted on April 20th, 2011 | by Nashy's Arsenal Blog in Arsenal News,Arsene Wenger,Cesc Fabregas,Premier League,UncategorizedIn this very fixture last year, towards the tail end of what would prove to be another disastrous season, we hadn’t lost to Tottenham since the time before Kerry Katona made money off of making music. Instead of becoming a drug addict and bad parent then getting her shit together, then getting her own TV show which, I hate to admit, actually had me feeling quite happy for her that her life is now wonderful.
Fast forward to this year and we have lost two in a row against them. One loss was started off by what can only be described as half freak goal, half Almunia rolling around on the floor for ages after punching a corner clear and then not being in a reasonable position to keep it out. We lost to a team that had Danny Rose starting. Who the fuck is Danny Rose?
Less said about the game earlier this season at the Emirates the better. Other than to say it was fucking shit, provided me with endless embarrassment due to watching it with a good friend who supports them, and any game decided by a goal scored by some Star Trek Alien looking mother fucker like Younes Kaboul should be ignored.
Yesterday I did an interview with blogger Conor, over at Gooner Home and Away, about all things Derby day related. He too felt like the result at the Emirates was one of the worst experiences. That needs to be put right. If the fans are pissed off, then the players should be royally cheesed off. And as I often like to point out, I’m lactose intolerant. So if I was cheesed off, I would be shitting all over whoever cheesed me off in the first place. And do it with Cesc’s scoring face.
Cesc Didn't Take Too Kindly To The Spuds Cheese Selection
Newcastle managed to not bend over and let Manchester United tickle their bumhole, and so we’re back in the title race. Although mathematically it is still out of our hands, we can not forget that we have to play United still, after their first leg against Schalke away and a week before they play Chelsea. This title race is not over by a long shot.
Six wins. We’ve gone on better runs than that in the last six years and won nothing. All we have to do is string together six wins, and let Manchester United bottle it. Surely they’ll bottle it, right? It’s their turn to bottle it. I don’t think anyone reeled them in since the season we won the league at Old Trafford. Correct me if I’m predictably wrong.
What we need to do is sexually abuse this chance we’ve been given. Not only do we need to grab it with two hands, we need to grab it by the balls and stick a finger in its bum. Now is our chance to really stand up and be counted.
We go to the shithole. We leave with three points and normal order resumed. We return this to the status quo. We need to get Alex Ferguson and the United squad feeling like Redknapp on a nervous day. Twitching the fuck out.
Time to show some fucking pride, boys. Time to show we’re not just a bunch of choke artists. No way man. We leave that shit to Rory. Now is a chance to unite the fans again, to leave talk of whether Wenger should stay or go until the end of the season. We still have something to fight for.
Because if we don’t win tonight. If we don’t win…
Btw. Cesc’s interview was bang on. He’s the captain and summed up the mood of the whole Arsenal faithful perfectly. Timing is a bit off, but I’m not going to delve into it too much. Tonight is too important.
I love Arsenal,
and I love you too.
