Diving in to the Podcast
Posted on October 8th, 2010 | by Tim in Arsenal,Arsenal NewsAs some of you know, I’ve been wanting to do a podcast since January of this year. It’s been a long time in the making and if you thought that would make it better, well, you’re wrong. You only get to read my writing, in real life I’m an awkward, socially retarded, weirdo and some of that shines through in the podcast. But it’s me, it’s my sense of humor, and I think you can tell that we are trying to do something that isn’t just the “talk-shite” sports radio format.
In this, our very first episode, we deal with the topic of diving. Specifically, whether or not diving in football is directly related to diving in the NBA or other forms of cheating that have become so prevalent lately. There’s a segment where I talk to some of my American friends about diving in football and the NBA and a special call where I get a chance to talk to Kevin Mooney who is the editor of usa.arsenal.com.
I know it’s not the best podcast in the world but then, it’s our first and hopefully we’ll get better.
Friends of the blog The Revengers donated the intro music and I highly encourage all of my readers to check out their web site. You can get their album “Scraps on the Badlands” from iTunes and get show dates from their MySpace page. Check them out, they are amazing.
The other music you hear on there is from my other friends Pioneers West who have a new album out called “Go West” and you should check out their MySpace page for show dates and information. I’ll post information about their album as soon as I have some.
And finally, I want to thank my long suffering friend Cleveland for show ideas and the use of his studio; Fat Chance Studios. Anyway, here’s the first podcast, i’ll have it up on iTunes as soon as I figure that out.
I’m going to try a different plugin, the one I’m using was made by mentalists.
