Can’t wait to see that!’ It took a while before a few people gently pointed out [...]

The real reason Spurs came fifth?

There has been many a discussion post season as to why we finished in fifth spot in the league last season, when many, myself included, thought that fourth should have been a definite and maybe even second or third was a real possibility. Some of the post mortem debates have been; Was it the lack [...]

Does Peter Crouch have reason to complain?

When Emile Heskey used to play for England (one retirement I was happy to hear of) he never used to score goals. In fact he was so un-prolific that the other players had to make up reasons as to why he was in the team. “he holds the ball up so well” or “he brings other people into the game” as I remember he seemed to have trouble holding himself up let alone the ball and apart from when he was subbed, there was very little evidence of him ever bringing other people into the game.

Chapter 1: 2010-11 Review of United’s season

If Sir Alex Ferguson were a boy scout, he would have earned his firefighting badge several times over in the 2010-11 season. The FA doesn’t keep stats for such things but I’d be willing to wager a few bob that Fergie spent more time attempting to put out fires than he did preparing the Red…

Tottenham Hotspur That Was The Season That Was. The Manager

Harry Redknapp has met me. Before kick-off Peter waves to me and beckons me down to the front. [...]

Seven candidates to transform Tottenham’s attack

Thumbs up if you’d probably score more goals than CrouchUltimately, it all comes down to goals. In 2009/10, we scored a lot of them and were able to finish fourth as a result. In 2010/11, we couldn’t hit the proverbial barn door with a banjo. End resul…

Spurs vs Birmingham City Review- 90 minutes that mirrored our season

So that’s it for another rollercoaster year at Tottenham Hotspur and it ended in a deserved victory but also a performance that highlighted all the deficiencies that have been a constant thorn throughout this season.
