De Jong proud to be playing for Holland

Nigel De Jong is pleased to have returned to the Holland squad after an exile following his tackle on Newcastle United’s Hatem Ben Arfa. The Dutch national manager Bert Van Marwijk took action at that point against the 26 year old, stating that he had “a problem with the way Nigel needlessly looks to push the limit.”
However Van Marwijk has brought De Jong back into the fold for their friendly against Australia in February and the player is delighted to be back, whilst also claiming that his tackle on Ben …

Couple Of Arsenal Players Can’t Save England + Chamakh’s Opportunistic Goal (video)

England were booed off once again after another uninspiring performance. I don’t really care for the English football team so never feel strongly enough but they do get really boring at times. I’m not sure if this is down to the manager or the general approach to football in England. I’d love to know what [...]

Arsenal v Bolton- Player Ratings

Almunia 6.5- Had a quiet game today and couldn’t do much about the goal. Eboue 6.5- Started the match surprisingly ahead of Sagna and did well. Eboue is going to try and take every chance he gets to be in the starting line up and I expect him to have a good season. Koscielny 7- [...]
