Cavemen 1 – 2 Arsenal Report + Highlights + Thoughts + CC Draw + No More Transfers? 0
So a deserving win for Arsenal as we beat Fat Sam’s dry-cleaning team. Obviously it’s a good result for us, because Blackburn has not always been easy to beat. We started pretty well, with RVP controlling the ball superbly and feeding on-rushing Walcott for him to shoot and rip the Blackburn net. Then typical Arsenal followed when we were caught on the break and the Dioufs (including the despicable one) teamed up to make our defenders look like school boys. Gael Clichy was caught ball-watching as Mame Diouf ghosted past him to tap into an open goal.
Stupid defending really, got me really fuming. The second half started even better and Blackburn had lost a bit of their wildness (tiredness probably) and started to allow Arsenal more space. We duly exploited this failing of the opposition an Arshavin scored another goal to get his goal tally for the season up to two. Walcott’s up to four and is joint top-scorer with Drog-cunt—ba, Malou-cunt-da and Andy Carroll.
The unfortunate incidents of the match was that RVP has to be replaced by Chamakh due to injury. I blame Wenger entirely for this. He knew Blackburn was a physical side, he knew RVP is injury-prone, yet he played him. As I pointed out in yesterday’s preview, there’ was great risk of getting RVP, TW14 and TR7 injured by playing them against those brutes. AW dropped Rosicky of course, but risked both Walcott and RVP. We’re fortunate that RVP has only twisted his ankle and will be out for 8-10 days and will miss the interlull, which is good for us.
One thing that particularly amused me during the match was Pedersen’s drying the ball every time there was a throw-in, but ironically, their goal came from playing proper football, by walking the ball into the net, something we try to overdo.
Fabregas was back too, but could not hold out for the complete 90 minutes and had to be substituted. I expect more to come from him as the season progresses. Manuel got the armband from Cesc, and I have to say, that he performed admirably today, no complaints. He showed the form which won him his place in the starting lineup from Jens. Keep up the good form, maybe you could win us over again.
In other news, we’ve got the Sp*rs for our Carling Cup round. Surely our young boys is more than enough to beat them. Knowing the scums though, I know ‘Arry will send his big boys out to try trample our kiddies, but fear not, our CC team this year might not be so young and inexperienced. You can expect to have Wilshere, Vela, Gibbs, JET, Eastmond, Nordtveit and others, who have plenty of experience. A win from our fringe players will only further sink Sp*rs into humiliation, if they have not been humiliated enough by being beaten by Wigan, a team which was hammered 4-0 and 6-0 by Blackpool and Chelsea during their first two matches.
Interestingly enough, from the interview from SkySports, Wenger says that for him, the transfer period is over. Here’ are the exact quotes:
“For us, the transfer period is already over”.
You can watch the interview below, links are provided. Does this mean that there will be no signings? Well, if a good bargain comes his way, Wenger won’t hesitate to get another addition to his team, but for now, I think he means that he’s got all the players that he wanted, anymore guys who will come in wil probably be for adding depth to the squad. We’ll know soon enough though. However, there’s some development in the Schwarzer affair as Given looks likely to join Fulham on loan. If this happens, Schwarzer could head our way. Here’s what cunt Hughes has to say about it all, make of it whatever you want to.
“I’m always interested in quality players and Shay Given is a quality player. Make of that what you will. But I have said that if we can’t get anyone else in, Schwarzer will have to stay.”
So that’s it from me, enjoy the highlights below:
