Player of the Month Edin shoulders above the rest
Edin Dzeko has been named Barclays Player of the Month for August after an outstanding start to his first full season with the club.
The Bosnian scored in both of City’s opening fixtures against Swansea and Bolton Wanderers, leading the club to 4-0 and 3-2 victories respectively.
Dzeko then bagged four of City’s five goals in an outstanding 5-1 away victory against Tottenham last weekend.
The decisions were made by the Barclays Awards Panel that includes representatives from football’s governing bodies, the media and fans.
