The 20-year-old Frenchman is regarded as a bright prospect by Arsene Wenger due to his all round defensive play, but he is behind Gael Clichy and Kieran Gibbs in the Arsenal pecking order.
The Gunners are said to be prepared to loan him out so he can gain regular first team football, as he did during a spell at Portsmouth during the 2008-2009 season when he managed 28 games in all with 19 of them being in the league. He also managedĀ a goal as well.
Reports on Sky Sports claim Alex McLeish is keen to add Traore to his squad at St Andrews, as he looks to bolster his defensive options for the Blues in order to be a match for other teams.
