Arsenal.com Confirms No New GK for 2011/12 Season
Posted on May 10th, 2011 | by arsenalfanblog in Arsenal News,David Seaman,Fabianski,Szczesny,transfer rumoursArsenal.com has indadvertedly announced that Arsenal will not make a goalkeeper signing in the summer.
For a few seasons now, Arsenal fans have been calling for Arsene to sign a new goalkeeper because of the poor form of Almunia, then followed by Fabianksi. Then a young polish goalkeeper by the name of Wojciech Szczesny who for the last season has played a vital role in between the goalposts for Arsenal, many have herald him as the new Arsenal no.1 and that he is the future, yet others are still calling for Arsene to sign an older, more experienced and proven goalkeeper as Szczesny is still young.
Which makes this interview with Arsenal legend David Seaman very interesting indeed.
In the interview he says;
Fabianski and Szczesny are great goalkeepers, I’ve seen them in training and I just want them to show people what they can do. At the moment, obviously, with Szczesny it’s very early and Fabianski hasn’t shown what he is capable of. They are two goalkeepers with great futures
Before anything is put on Arsenal.com it seeks approval, then checked, then approval again. Would Arsenal put an interview with an Arsenal legend declaring how brilliant the current Gk’s are, to then buy a new one? No.
