Arsenal Chasing Emilio Izaguirre

The former Motagua full-back, who represented Honduras at last year’s World Cup, has been linked with Manchester United, Aston Villa and Liverpool in the last few weeks.
However, the Daily Mail are claiming that Arsenal are now interested in the defender who was reportedly valued at £4.5 million just over half a year after signing for £650,000 from Motagua, whom he had represented more than 140 times.
But, after his increasing rise in stock, it is now believed that Celtic could be holding out for at least £8m for the player.
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is understood to have attended the weekend’s Old Firm match in which Celtic beat Rangers 3-0, in order to compile a report on the 24-year-old, with Arsenal also believed to have sent a scout to monitor the defender.
United are unlikely to still be interested in Izaguirre after Patrice Evra signed a new three-year contract with the club on Monday.
