After his very good performance on his UEFA Champions League debut for Manchester United, Anders Lindegaard confidently stated his intent for being the club's first-choice goalkeeper.

The words that the big Danish goalkeeper used were comical, to say the least, but there was nothing funny about his performance, as he looks like he could hold down the No. 1 shirt, if it was required.
Sir Alex Ferguson has refused to be dragged into a debate about who will be his starting goalkeeper, David de Gea or Lindegaard, and he aims to keep the former right where he is, but the latter will be waiting with open arms if the chance arises.
