Alex Hleb to Arsenal

Just a quick add-on to today’s post:

Alex Helb – he who assisted the assister – has made a bold claim about wanting to return to Arsenal. After a unceremonious Barcelona stint that involved severe buttock numbing from excessive warming of the bench, he returned to the Premiership on loan to the blue half of Birmingham.

Having found their brand of football not to his liking, he claimed today he wants to remain in England, with his former employees at Arsenal his preferred destination.

Let this be a lesson to some of our players; the grass isn’t really greener on the other side, just the pay cheque – especially if it’s Barcelona. That said, it’s always amusing to see them pay a small fortune for our guys, only to see them falter and fail to recreate the kind of form that initially attracted the Catalonians.

Would you have him back?

Me personally, I think Nasri is younger and far better and we don’t need him in the slightest. Hleb’s a decent player with more skill than end product and I wasn’t all that devastated when he left in the first place.

Drop a comment or several, you beautiful bastards.
