Aguero, Dzeko, Tevez, Balotelli! Who will score the most goals?

It was a great start to the season for the blues at the Etihad stadium on Monday night. Premier League newcomers Swansea started well playing some nice possession football but were well beaten in the end by four goals to nil.

City created a host of chances in the last 20 minutes of the first half but were unable to beat Michel Vorm in the Swansea goal. Edin Dzeko finally gave City the lead early in the second half after the Swansea keeper could only parry an Adam Johnson shot straight into the path of the big Bosnian. Dzeko did well to adjust his feet quickly and find the bottom left hand corner of the goal.

City were flying at this point with Silva, Yaya and Johnson pulling the strings and things were about to get even better. A glimpse at a new more attacking philosophy maybe from Mancini when he introduced our new Argentine superstar Sergio ‘Kun’ Aguero to the blue half of Manchester in place of a tired looking Nigel De Jong . And what an introduction. Two goals and an assist in half an hour is not a bad debut. The first goal came from a great low cross by Micah Richards bombing forward from right back with Aguero stealing in at the back post to tap in a real goal poachers finish. The second goal, a spectacular strike from 25 yards proving he will be a threat from anywhere around the box this season. Between his two goals he also had time to set up David Silva for a well deserved goal after doing well to keep the ball in play with a nice overhead flick.

With the improved form of Dzeko, the arrival of Aguero, the unpredictability of Balotelli and possibility of last seasons golden boot Tevez staying for another season, just who will get the most goals this season? All are capable of getting 20 goals plus. It will probably come down to whoever gets the most games. On that basis my money is on Aguero.
